FDIC Assistant General Counsel to Speak at AI Annual Meeting The Appraisal Institute announced April 25 that Floyd Robinson, assistant general counsel, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Professional Liability and Financial Crimes Section, will be a general session speaker at its 2012 Annual Meeting. The event will take place Aug. 1-3 at the Loews Coronado Bay Hotel in San Diego.

FDIC: Fewer Banks to Fail in 2012 The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation forecast fewer bank failures for 2012, signaling its belief that the economy will continue its recovery, National Mortgage News reported April 18.
